3D Detailing Tasmania ("3D Detailing Tas", "we", "us", "our") collects and stores limited personal information for the purpose of delivering services, processing payments, sending invoices, and maintaining business records. We act as the data controller of the personal information we collect about you. By booking a service or using the 3D Club portal, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Full name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Address (for the purpose of mobile detailing)
- Vehicle details (make, model, registration, photos you upload)
- Service history and job records, including pre- and post-service condition photos
- Wallet & transaction information — wallet balance, top-ups, ledger entries (full card numbers are never stored by us; payments are processed by Paddle)
- Account credentials and login activity
- Support communications you send us
- Usage & device data (IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) used to keep the Service secure and reliable
2. How We Use Your Information
- To confirm and manage your bookings (performance of a contract).
- To deliver detailing services and document vehicle condition (contract).
- To operate the 3D Wallet and tier program (contract).
- To send invoices and follow up on payments (contract / legal obligation).
- To prevent fraud, secure the Service, and enforce our Terms (legitimate interests).
- To improve the Service (legitimate interests).
- To contact you regarding your service or future promotions, with your consent (you can opt out at any time).
- To maintain records for business and tax purposes (legal obligation).
3. Storage & Security
Customer information is stored securely and accessed only by 3D Detailing Tas staff and the trusted service providers listed below. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. We do not sell, share, or distribute customer information to third parties except as described in this policy.
4. Sharing
We share personal information with:
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for online payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing. Paddle's privacy notice is at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
- Service providers that help us run the Service (cloud hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, customer support tooling), under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where reasonably necessary.
- Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.
5. International Transfers
Some of our service providers may process information outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled with a level of protection consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations (including tax and accounting requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Pre- and post-service condition photos are retained on file for the life of the customer relationship to support our redo and liability policies. After that, we delete or de-identify the information.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us directly. You also have the right to:
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
- Make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
